If you love the older classic rock, you are in luck this year. Many top bands from the 80’s have decided to answer the call of the music and return for a reunion tour this year. Many people really loved the music of the 80’s and were sorry to the bands retiring. With nostalgia showing up in other aspects of your lives, we can’t be surprised to see it in the music world.
Some of the top reunion acts of 2010 include:
ZZ Top – known for such hits as Legs, Sharp Dressed Man, Cheap Sunglasses, Gimme All Your Lovin and Tush, Billy Gibbons, Dusty Hill and Frank Beard will bring back their Southern Rock music to entertain you.
U2 – Bono, The Edge, Adam Clayton, and Larry Mullen, Jr. are bringing back songs like Where the Streets Have No Name, Sunday Bloody Sunday, Gloria and Desire.
Whitesnake – David Coverdale,John Sykes, Neil Murray, and Aynsley Dunbar are best known for their Number One Billboard hit Here I Go Again in 1987.
Fleetwood Mac – Stevie Nicks, Lindsey Buckingham, John McVie and Mick Fleetwood brought us great hits like Rhiannon, Don’t Stop, Go Your Own Way and Dreams. They found equal fame in both the United States and Europe.
.38 Special – Donnie Van Zant, Don Barnes, Danny Chauncey, Larry Junstrom, Bobby Capps,and Gary Moffatt made a huge splash in Southern Rock with hits like Hold On Loosely, Caught Up In You and If I’d Been The One.
Styx – STyx will be returning with past hits like Lady, The Best of Times, Lorelei, Too Much Time on My Hands and Show Me the Way.
Eagles – With two greatest hits albums, you know that you are going to hear great songs like Take It Easy, Hotel California, Life in the Fast Lane, One of These Nights, Take It to the Limit and Peaceful Easy Feeling.
The Go Go’s – This all girl band will bring back songs like We Got the Beat, Head Over Heels, I’m the Only One, and Our Lips Are Sealed.
Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers – You can look forward to hearing songs like American Girl, Breakdown, Listen to Her Heart and I Need to Know from this great band.
REO Speedwagon – Can’t Fight This Feeling and Keep on Loving You were big hits for REO Speedwagon. This band sold over 10 million copies of it’s album Hi Infidelity.
Moody Blues – Great hits like Nights in White Satin, The Other Side of Life, The Story in Your Eyes and Your Wildest Dreams set this band apart from the others.
Aerosmith – While starting out as a hard rock band with hugh hits like Walk This Way, Dude (Looks Like a Lady), and Dream On, one of Aerosmith’s best known song is the tender I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing.
Bon Jovi – Bon Jovi was a hard rock band that hand numerous hits such as Bad Medicine, You Give Love a Bad Name, and the very popular Livin’ on a Prayer. Their many fans will be thrilled to hear these hits again.
Eddie Money – Eddie Money will be bringing back hits like Baby Hold On, Two Tickets to Paradise, Can’t Keep a Good Man Down, and Take Me Home Tonight.
Huey Lewis and the News – This band brought a different sound to the music world with it combination of rock, blues, soul and a little doo-wop thrown in for good measure. Top hits like Workin’ For a Livin’, The Power of Love, The Heart of Rock & Roll, and the ever popular Hip to Be square are sure to be on the list to be played on this reunion tour.
AC/DC – Anyone that has ever seen AC/DC in concert can tell you that this reunion tour will feature a hard-rocking show that will have you dancing in your seat. With all their great hits is hard to determine what all they will play but Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap, Rock ‘n’ Roll Damnation, Girls Got Rhythm, Highway to Hell and Hell’s Bells are sure to make an appearance.
Bruce Springsteen – That’s right, The Boss is back playing his great hits like the Promised Land, Fade Away, Dancing in the Dark and the well-known Born in the U.S.A.
In addition, there are some great bands that are joining together in a tour featuring each band’s great music. Probably one of the best-known tours is the one featuring Def Leppard, Poison and Cheap Trick. Imagine being able to see three of the top bands of the 80’s in one great show. Yes, and Peter Frampton will be combining as well in one show.
